Coat of arms of Primorsky Krai was adopted on February 22, 1995, re-adoped on January 21, 2003. Its description: "In the green field of the shield is a blue St. Andrew's cross, and at the tip of the shield above the cross is a golden image of a walking Ussuri tiger."

The heraldic basis for the coat of arms was developed by Valentin Vasilyevich Anikeev, a member of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, and the coat of arms was designed by artist Vladimir Stepanovich Bazhenov.
