Blazons of Towns in Omsk Oblast

The coat of arms of Omsk Oblast was adopted on April 28, 2020. Its description: "On a scarlet field, a silver cross encumbered with a narrow wavy azure column, above which, in the center of the cross, is a scarlet outline of a fortress with five bastions, one bastion pointing upward. The shield is crowned with an ancient royal crown and surrounded by the ribbon of the Order of Lenin."

Omsk Oblast (2003)

The old coat of arms of Omsk Oblast was adopted on June 13, 2003. Its description: "The coat of arms of the Omsk Oblast is a quadrangular heraldic shield with rounded lower corners and a pointed tip, with a golden cross on a white field, encumbered with a wavy azure column and accompanied in each corner by eight (2, 1, 2, 1, and 2) small green pyramids in each corner; above all, in the heart of the shield, a scarlet fortress with five (1, 2, and 2) bastions, shown from above, filled with silver, with a golden arch in the center. The outer decorations of the full coat of arms of the Omsk Oblast are golden oak branches entwined with the Alexander ribbon and a golden Old Russian royal crown crowning the shield."

The Alexander Ribbon is a red ribbon. It is the ribbon of the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky of the Russian Empire, from which it gets its name. The ribbon was worn over the left shoulder. The Alexander Ribbon was used in the coats of arms of oblasts, city administrations, and county towns of the Russian Empire.
